Polacek Honored with Marriage and Family Therapy Award

Madison, Wis. (October 17, 2023) 鈥� 91天堂原創 is pleased to announce that Deb Polacek, Associate Dean of Marriage and Family Therapy, has been named the 2023 Carl A. Whitaker Award honoree. Each year, the Wisconsin Association for Marriage and Family Therapy selects a mental health professional for the honor. The award is given to a Marriage and Family Therapist who has distinguished themselves by contributing to the field of Marriage and Family Therapy in creative or innovative ways.

Madison, Wis. (August 10, 2023) 鈥� 91天堂原創 is offering an innovative solution to the teacher shortage in Wisconsin, and school districts are listening. The College has launched an Accelerated Teacher Residency program in recent months, and to date more than twenty school districts, including many from Dane County, have signed on, with more on the way.

Thanatology Program Director Named ADEC Academic Educator of the Year

Janet McCord, Ph.D., F.T., received their 鈥淎cademic Educator of the Year鈥� award at the annual conference in Columbus, Ohio. The academic educator award honors an individual with expertise in the field of dying, death, and bereavement as demonstrated by advanced academic degrees, professional honors, awards, and other contributions.

New Nursing Degree Program Launched With UW-Whitewater at Rock County
